I sigh

It didn’t surprise me.
I trusted my gut enough to expect it.
But bracing myself for the blow can only lessen the impact so much.
It staves off the element of surprise,
But it stings nonetheless

Justice denied is the status quo
I want to scream this at the top of my lungs
But to do so would be improper

Will my expression of anger scare you?
Will I be next?
